This was a pretty good read but not realistic. It's funny how tre did a complete change on cherish when he got out. He totally disrespected her and treated her like she was nothing. He kept cheating on her. Who allows the chick he had sex with to show up and stay at her son's party? Too far fetched. I don't like the way the author changed people's personality. Cherish was once this strong woman and now she is pathetic and staying with a man who lies, cheats, beats her and disrespects her. Then he continues to cheat and as a lesson she takes the kids to Hawaii for a week? Not realistic and nothing like the cherish from previous books. Tre beats the dog carp out of her and afterwards she runs into his arms talking about 20k on a ring. The author disappointed me. I thought meeka was some new chick in the book with the way she was coming off on cherish. She wasn't like that before. Even if cherish was messing up it was full how she caused trouble in her relationship, how she spoke to her and fought her. Cherish pulled this girl out the gutter. The only character who was the same was jewel. So because the author chose to go this way with the book I have to give it a low rating. Don't change the characters all together it doent make since. The sleepy character really was irrelevant. More should have came out that character especially since he was supposed to be so grimy yeah getting cherish hooked on drugs was grimy. But I would have liked to have seen more drama from that instead of tre cheating. Did I miss it or did it ever come out what tre had heard about sleepy? Pretty good read but left feeling disappointed.
