i'm sorry, i did not get all the positive reviews on this book. i couldn't even finish it. i stopped reading by the time her hot gynocologist picked her up at the restaurant. i couldn't bond w/ the girl. she seemed, crass, immature and just stupid. who gets an orgasm when getting examed by a doctor??? i don't care how hot he is. and this is just the beginning of of one of many cringe worthy scenes. i'm all for hot sex scenes, but this did not work for me. i will not be reading anymore of this book. just did not hold my interest. all i could think was "these people are stupid".

Wrong Wrong Series Book 1 edition by Jana Aston Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Wrong is a wonderful light hearted, fun, and steamy read! There are plenty of laugh out loud moments and I really enjoyed Sophie and Luke's story. I would have loved it more I think if the book had featured both Luke and Sophie's points of view throughout. Without his voice, it made it really hard for me to connect and fully invest myself in Luke because he was never forth coming with his thoughts or feelings and seemed so closed off. I'm glad that we did get a glimpse into Luke's mind at the very end, but I was wondering what he was thinking for most of the book. The other woman drama added some necessary angst, but I do wish Sophie would have discussed her interactions with Gina with Luke instead of making assumptions and keeping it to herself. This is probably more of a reflection on her age though, since she is 21 and 15 years younger than Luke.

I thought the sex scenes were scorching hot, but what I really enjoyed was Sophie's inner monologue. Her sexual innocence and questions rang very true and my favorite was when she questioned wearing socks at the gynocologist! ;) As funny as I thought Sophie was, however, Everly is clearly the winner where laughs are concerned. She is no nonsense and has some of the best dialogue/banter in the entire book. I am VERY curious to learn more and excited to read her story next. Overall, this was a great romantic comedy and solid debut by Jana Aston.
The title of the book "Wrong" should clue a potential reader into the fact that there might be a few things in the book that are considered taboo. So if you are a potential reader then consider this aspect. Here are a few things to know about this book

1. There is a romantic storyline in this book between Sophie and Luke. It is not all about sex.
2. Luke is an older man - he is 36 to Sophie's 21. He is sexually experienced and Sophie is not. She is not immature in her behavior. He is not creepy.
3. Luke likes raunchy sex - including a**l.
4. Luke is a doctor and Sophie ends up seeing him for an exam - this was not contrived - it was coincidental. They already had an
awareness / sexual attraction to each other before this visit.
5. There is foul language in this book - coming from Luke during sex. I am a reader who does not put myself into every scenario so I can accept the things he says to her but if you are the reader who puts yourself into every scene - then you might be offended.
6. Sophie's best friend is foul-mouthed - but it fits her character as written. Contemporary romance often uses foul words. People say the words "b**" and "p**" in the year 2015. It is not in every other sentence and it is between people who know each other very well so I was not offended.
7. I don't see it as a "daddy issue" book. Sophie had been raised by normal people (grandparents). There is a 15 year age gap between Luke and Sophie. He tells her what to do sexually - but he knows and she doesn't. He doesn't force her to do anything or override her. Even when she leaves him, he lets her decide on her own and waits for her to come back to him.

I love her socks.

I really enjoyed the book. I guess you could say that a few wrongs make a right.
***1.5 STARS*** This book helped me justify my KU membership. I am soooo mad I paid for this. The thing is, I did everything right... I read the sample (liked it) and read the reviews (everyone else liked it). Decided it was worth my money to purchase. Big mistake! I give it one star because I actually like the writing style (meaning the actual cadence of the words on the page, not content, or lack thereof). Another half-star because the chapters I read in the sample were cute. But the lack of any kind of story and the underdeveloped characters prevent me from being able to even give this a full two stars.

There is so much in this book that doesn't make sense, too much to go into. But, ironically, my biggest problem with this book is asked by the heroine herself...

"'Why do you love me? I'm a college student and you're... you! You're a doctor with a trust fund and a fancy penthouse. You're cultured and associate with people who host charity events or sit on boards of companies. You have a housekeeper, Luke. I do my laundry in a coin-operated machine that I share with a hundred other students.'"

YES! GREAT QUESTION, SOPHIE! I was wondering the exact same thing since you have no enduring qualities and the two of you have absolutely nothing in common. Let's see how Luke declares his love...

"He tilts his head a little as he listens to me, then backs me into the brick wall of the store we're standing in front of and drops his forehead to mine and shuts me up with a kiss."

WAIT, WHAT?!? No, no, no. Pleeeease answer the question, Luke. Otherwise this whole book makes no sense and I just wasted my money and time on foolishness. Luke does not answer that question then OR EVER. To be fair, it's not clear why Sophie him either.

Again there is SO MUCH wrong (Sophie's random hatred for her mom, the acceptance of Luke's parents by both Luke and his sister, the cavalier handling of an almost-sex crime, the way Luke talks to Sophie, her not having any plan after college, weird subplot with an ex and "infertility", an unexplained pregnancy, etc).

But those few lines literally sum up the whole book. You're welcome for the money I just saved you.
