Knowing what’s the true fortune
This ties all the couple together in a nice package. The entire box set reminds me of six degrees. Where one person knows someone that touches another life and so on it goes. I’ve read some of the author’s books that come after this one and even though they are self-contained stories, they are so much better after reading this box set. Love and heartache, happiness and sadness and all the emotions in-between are in this well written set of books. High praises to the author for such a great job. I highly recommend this box set to read.

Sexy, sweet, fun. Love how Liliana Rhodes gives us a cast of characters that interconnect and build on each other's relationships. Ashley desperately needs a job and finds an ad for a house sitter at the art gallery after a crazy close encounter with the sexiest many she's ever seen. The house is amazing but what is most surprising is to find that Xander, Mr. Super Sexy, is the owner. Xander is very attracted to Ashley but he can't get past his guilt so he pushes her away. Will he find a way to forgive himself to let light back into his life? Samantha (Sam) and Drake grew up around each other so when Drake suddenly shows interest in her, Sam isn't sure what to believe. She has always loved Drake so she decides to jump in, will she become just another notch on his bedpost? Or has Drake changed his ways? Really love how all the characters interact so you get to know more about everyone throughout the series. Also like that the story is told from both POV for each romance, this allows us to understand what is really going on in the men's heads as they come up against these strong and determined women.
Decent series and characters. I thought it was very unique to have two stories in one series. Unfortunately in the author's attempt to create angst and conflict, both couples spent too much time apart to truly fall in love. One minute their apart and the next minute their engaged. Also, I found it a little light on the sexy times. Again, a decent storyline, almost Melody Annish... Not a horrible read.
Each book in the series was fantastic, but together they are unequaled, the romance, the drama, the sensuality the men displays if affections for the woman they love is what are dreams made of. The sex scenes were sexual,sensuous and sensual. The couple displayed a level of sensuality and vulnerability. Ashley Monroe was a waitress and a art connoisseur. She is sexy,sassy,sophisticated and smart. And when she approaches a handsome,brooding stranger, she brings him to heel. Xander, handsome brooding billionaire, knows this woman is unlike anyone he has ever met and is fighting the attraction but can you fight fate, especially when she was meant for him can he recognize it before it's to late. He has everything but in reality he had nothing until she entered his world. As the relationship grows, so do the doubts- for a past that is to terrible to mention, could life be so cruel to take the LOVE of a lifetime and the promise of forever. As happiness is enjoyed, enter another couple who have found each other but will they let the past dictate the future? Samantha Mayfair has a new catering company and she see the one person who was her childhood crush. She needs to not be that crazy little mouse who followed his every movement. Sam, is a curvy,smart and delicious talented cook. She needs to stay focused but it's hard(more ways then one) to keep her pantries on. Drake Winslow had forgotten the little pest that followed him like a puppy on a string. Sammy Mayfair is all grown up and he wants her NOW. What Drake wants is what he will get and he wants her under him. When passions ignite the consequences are swift and undeniable! Samantha is stubborn and has no intention or interest in Drake, same old spoiled rich kid and she is no one's fool not now and not anymore. I will say that the epilogue and extra chapter was satisfying on so many levels. I absolutely love LilIana Rhodes, it doesn't matter what it is she is sextacular!
In the first romance, Ashley and Xander meet and fall in love. She's a recent college graduate, and he's a billionaire CEO. He meets her when she's waitressing and later hires him to manage his home. Because he can't stay away from her, he finds another position for her in his friend's company. Things progress from there.
Drake helps Ashley and Xander to seal their deal. At their wedding, he sees Samantha who he knew when he was younger. She always tagged after him. Now he's chasing her, but she knows how he is with women and refuses to be a notch on his bedpost. Thus begins their give and take. I didn't care for her as much. She wants him but treats him nastily then after pushing him away wants to go get him back.
Rhoades is a new author for me, and her writing is unusual to me. She switches point of view every chapter, but she is very clear who is thinking and talking. The pace and the intrigue are good. I wish Xander's parental issues had been addressed. I thought we would see his dad but not happening. There are breaks in the book that I felt were kind of off kilter in placement. Why not two breaks- Ash and Xander and Sam and Drake, but she threw in a couple extra breaks.
